This guide is for Support Coordinators who need access to a participant’s budget, as well as for participants who want to share their budget with a Support Coordinator.
What You Need
✅ Written Participant Consent
- Consent must come directly from the participant, nominee, or guardian.
- It should clearly state that you, as the Support Coordinator, are authorised to access their Kismet portal.
- Email or signed official NDIS consent confirmation form to share information, are both acceptable.
✅ Support Coordinator Details
- Your full name and the organisation you work for.
- Your role (e.g. Support Coordinator, Specialist Support Coordinator).
- Contact details for verification purposes.

Send an email: Email the participant’s plan manager including:
- Written participant content
- Support coordinator details

Accessing Participant Information with Care
At Kismet, we understand that a Support Coordinator’s role is all about helping participants get the most from their NDIS plans. The participant’s portal contains sensitive financial and personal information. Under both the NDIS Code of Conduct and our own duty of care, we must have clear consent before granting access — even if you already work closely with the participant.
If access is not approved
If the participant or nominee chooses not to provide access, we respect that decision. We can still work with you to share budget summaries or claim updates via secure email — so you can continue to support them without compromising their privacy.
