What you'll find on this page
This guide is for Support Coordinators who need access to a participant’s budget, and for participants who want to share their budget with a Support Coordinator.
How to request access
To link a participant to your profile in the portal, you'll need to provide a signed copy of an NDIA Consent to share information form. Email the signed form to your participant's Plan Manager (find their email here), who will process your request.
To avoid delays, make sure the form includes all your details
- Your full name and the organisation you work for.
- The email address you will use to login to the portal, and other contact details for verification purposes.
- Your role (e.g. Support Coordinator, Specialist Support Coordinator).
Can a participant provide consent directly?
- Consent can be in the form of a direct email from the participant, or a signed NDIS consent to share information form, both are accepted.
- Consent must come directly from the participant (or their nominee, or guardian).
- It should clearly state that you, as the Support Coordinator, are authorised to access their information.
- All Support Coordinator details must be explicitly provided in the email from the participant (full name, email address, name of organisation, your role).
What happens once access is granted?
The participant will be visible in your account under Budgets, alongside any other participants linked to your profile. Make sure you're logged in with the same email address specified in the consent form.

Accessing participant information with care
At Kismet, we understand that a Support Coordinator’s role is all about helping participants get the most from their NDIS plans. Sometimes that means you’ll need access to their Kismet portal (dashboard) to view budgets, claims, and payment history. We’re here to make that process as simple and transparent as possible, while protecting the participant’s privacy and funding.
Why we need to take extra care
The participant portal contains sensitive financial and personal information. Under both the NDIS Code of Conduct and our own duty of care, we must have clear consent before granting access, even if you already work closely with the participant.
If access is not approved
If the participant or nominee chooses not to provide access, we respect that decision. We can still work with you to share budget summaries or claim updates via secure email - so you can continue to support them without compromising their privacy.
Our commitment to you
We know processes like this can feel like extra admin, but they’re designed to protect everyone - especially the participant. By working together, we make sure that every access request is both compliant and in the participant’s best interest.
If you have any questions or need help preparing a consent request, just reach out. We’ll walk you through it step-by-step.
