Support Items
Each support that a provider supplies to a participant can be classified as one of the support items listed in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and in the NDIS Support Catalogue. Providers should claim payments against the support item that aligns to the service they have delivered.
Each support item has a unique reference number, according to the following structure:
Example:
01_013_0107_1_1 – Assistance with Self-Care Activities – Standard - Saturday
ℹ️ Useful Information:
- The ‘Support Category’ is the first 2 numbers of the line items, e.g. 01 – Daily Living (Core), 02 – Transport, 03 – Consumables, 04 – Social & Community (Core)
- The ‘Sequence number’ is a sub-group which falls within each support categories. There are common repetitions across many of the support categories, e.g. 01_799_0104_1_1, 04_799_0104_6_1, 07_799_0106_6_3, 09_799_0106_6_3, 10_799_0102_5_3, 11_799_0110_7_3, 12_799_0126_3_3, 13_799_0102_4_3, 15_799_0106_1_3. The ‘799’ is a reference to ‘Provider Travel – non-labour costs’ in this instance.
- The ‘Registration Group’ refers to the NDIS Registration Groups reference #. These numbers are associated with a list of minimal qualifications which are required to claim within this group, e.g. 15_054_0128_1_3 (Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training – Psychologist’ has the registrations group ‘0128 – Therapeutic supports’. This requires there is evidence of a relevant professional qualification in-line with this registration group.
- The Registration Group ‘0118’ refers to Early Childhood Intervention and applies to children 8 years or under.
